ABOUT THE ROLE
PolyPeptide is now searching for an assistant scientist or scientist to join the Process Development (PD) department. PD is responsible for the development of manufacturing processes of APIs, as well as supporting activities primarily for the Production and Regulatory Affairs departments.
In the role of (Assistant) Scientist, your main tasks are to:
Develop and transfer manufacturing processes to chemical production
Optimize manufacturing processes
Compile, evaluate, and report experimental results in presentations and reports
Provide support to our production and regulatory department (mainly related to the position as a scientist)
Problem solving
Customer contact (mainly related to the position as a scientist)
YOUR PROFILE
To be successful in the role, we see that you meet the following requirements:
Doctoral education with a focus on chemistry (PhD) is relevant for the position as a scientist. MSc in relevant chemistry fields is applicable for the position as assistant scientist.
Several years of experience with peptides and/or proteins or related substances (mainly related to the position as a scientist)
Several years of practical experience with laboratory work and manage projects (mainly related to the position as a scientist)
Fluent in English both spoken and written. Good Swedish in speech and writing is an advantage but not a requirement.
We also consider it a merit for the position if you have:
Knowledge and experience of preparative chromatography e.g. RPC, IEC and/or MCSGP
Experience of working with API
Knowledge and experience of API isolation
Knowledge and experience of organic synthesis
Experience of GMP
Experience with QbD and DoE
As the role requires you to take great personal responsibility for your work, you have the ability to take initiative to move forward. Furthermore, you will have to collaborate with several different departments internally and externally during different projects, and thus it is required that you have strong communication and collaboration skills. Finally, you thrive in a varied role with several different activities ongoing in parallel.
